Contribute

There are several differenct ways YOU can contribute to the Platte River Parkway Trust.

Unrestricted Donation to the Platte River Parkway Trust

An unrestricted donation to the The Platte River Parkway Trust, a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, will help us continue our work of trail building in the greater Casper community.  Please consider a donation to the Parkway today by clicking on the Donate Now button on our home page.!

Pave the Pumphouse Plaza

You can be a permanent part of the ongoing effort to enhance and expand the Tate Pumphouse Trail Center site.  The Parkway Trust has plans to landscape and improve the site to provide more areas for multiple uses.  With a donation of $500 and up you can purchase a personalized paver for the outdoor plaza at the Pumphouse.    Choose to engrave your name, your business or perhaps you’d like to honor the memory of a loved one.

The Tate Pumphouse Trail Center, located centrally along the 10 plus mile Parkway trail system, is a community gathering place and much more.  The history of the Pumphouse dates back to the early twentieth century as a pumping station to send potable water to the oil fields near the town of Midwest.  In 2007 the Pumphouse was gifted to the Platte River Parkway Trust by BP.  With a cornerstone donation by the Tate Charitable Foundation, the Parkway set out to renovate and expand the Pumphouse to create a vibrant setting on the community trail system that would attract residents and visitors to the North Platte River corridor for a variety of activities including walking, cycling, rafting, fishing, jogging and more!  With its beautiful views of the Whitewater Park and Casper Mountain, the Tate Pumphouse is part of a green-space that begins at the corner of Poplar and 1st Street that serves as a gateway to the City of Casper from the West.  The Pumphouse is the latest achievement of the Platte River Parkway Trust organization that has been working in the community for close to thirty years to enhance, conserve and properly develop our great jewel, the North Platte River corridor.

Mile Marker Sponsorship

Mile Marker Sign

There are 22 mile markers located every half mile along the 10.5 mile trail system to give users a better idea of how far they were walking or riding.  Each Mile Marker has a center disk that is available for sponsorship.   Sponsorship of a Mile Marker is a unique opportunity to advertise your business on a personalized, colorful disk that is sure to catch the attention of the thousands of trail users.  This is probably the most cost effective marketing opportunity in town.  A one page, one time ad, similar in size, would cost twice as much if not more.

Events

The Platte River Parkway Trust hosts two major events each year the Parkway Festival and Art Along the Parkway available for sponsorship.  Event Sponsors will be named on all printed materials, advertisements, as well as online media.  Call the Parkway office at 577-1206 for more information on sponsorship levels.

The Parkway Festival, begun in 1992, is held the last Saturday of August and is a community event that invites people to come down to the River to enjoy delicious BBQ, great music, micro-brew tasting, family friendly activities AND the Casper Rotary Club’s Great Duck Derby.

Art Along the Parkway focuses on art that celebrates the many beautiful ways to see and enjoy the Platte River Parkway.  Artists are invited to submit artwork that is displayed and auctioned at a celebratory event in October.

Parkway Endowment

The Platte River Parkway Trust has an endowment fund through the Wyoming Community Foundation.  The focus of the Endowment is to support the work of the Parkway Trust to maintain the riverfront trail system.  Donations of all sizes are welcome and donations of $1000 are recognized at the Parkway Endowment Plaza located adjacent to Crossroads Adventure Playground.
